“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you." Luke 17:6
Last week was a tough week for me. I don't know if it is the cold and unpredictable weather getting to me or what? I hate it when I get grumpy! I hate it when I get hung up on something negative and that recording goes over and over in my head.
I found myself asking God to help me deal some of the feelings that are bubbling up in me. It also helps to have a friend tell you "stop that right now" when they hear you say things that are not truths about yourself.
I thank God for friends that will do that.
I will not give up faith! Tomorrow is a brand new day!

"For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5
One of my favorite scriptures! Great song we used to sing in church, too.

Many prayers have been answered and it's all in the name of love. God bless the mamas and grandmamas that pray for their children. How many of us wonder where we would have been if we didn't have those matriarchs standing in the gap for us?

James 5:1 says the "effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"!
No negativity allowed young lady. Spring will soon be here. I heard a bird singing outside this morning. It was the sweetest sound! Friends are wonderful for reminding us of all our blessings. Keep taking wonderful pictures, and sharing your sweet blog with us. Big hug,G.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and for the reminder to KEEP praying, daily for my grown children and granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteIt's so very COLD today..can't wait for Spring.

OK something happened on my post that I didn't do - the words "fervent prayer" were linked to a site that I didn't not link to! I hope I changed for good - I have no idea how that happened?
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog Angela!
ReplyDeleteAngela, What a beautiful, beautiful post. It has been a long while that I have had those record playing negatives going about in my head, but the feeling is very easy to recall. I do hope prayers have turned down the noise and well being has returned. I am happily awaiting your Valentine and will post yours as well. AH! Yours is the last Valentine still in my craft room. I can't thank you enough for joining me this holiday. Please be sure and join me on the 14th to see everyones. Happy Valentine's Day to you! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteHey sweetie, I'm not sure what you are going through right now in your life, but I pray for you too. I loved this beautiful post and the verses cited here. Some of my favorites. I know that God answers the prayers I send up for each of my children, and how grateful I am for that.
ReplyDeleteQuiet those negative thoughts as quickly as they come Angela. Don't give them root that they have power over you. When I was young I did too much of that. Now that I am where I am today...I think of how much further I could have been had I loved myself more when I was young.
sending you bigs hugs for the day...

Hi Angela - Thank you for stopping by my blog. You had asked about my crepe ruffles and I do use white glue. I've used tacky glue and traditional white glue and both work just fine. Here's a tutorial on how to make crepe paper ruffles:

Have a splendid Saturday.
Hi Diane,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog...I found yours through Karen Valentine's blog. You had said you come to Phoenix often and were asking about other shops. If you come, you must visit Melrose Vintage on 7th Ave. just North of Indian School. Very close by, you will find Rust and Roses, Paris, Envy, Sage, & The Willows Home and Garden. In downtown Mesa, Domestic Bliss and Found are wonderful too. I hope you'll let me know how you liked them if you have the opportunity to visit. -- Debra
You are such a blessing to me, I love that I can call YOU my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI love you to bits!
Thank You for joining in the party too :)
This is so perfect, Angela. I am so glad you linked it to our party.
ReplyDeleteI agree that praying mamas are such a blessing. To me, a mother's prayer is so very powerful.
I'm glad to hear that you have a friend who is there to snap you out of gloomville. Today's day 3 party post specifically focused on encouragement. I think you'll appreciate it.
Keeping you in my prayers too.
Much love!
