Anticipation

In a couple weeks I'll be going to this sweet little town in Iowa for their annual Apple Fest.   My first time was last year and I went along with my BFF Tammy, her little girl and her mom.

They were going to keep with tradition and also in memory of Tammy's wonderful father, Don, who had lost his battle with cancer earlier in 2009. 

The strength, faith and love that these girls have for Don is something to be proud of and admired. 

It was an honor for me to come along and support them entering  Don's 1970 Dodge Charger in the auto show that he loved to participate in annually.  His car won in it's class as well!  Needless to say we were all jumping for joy! It's a beautifully restored car and he worked with his own two hands to make it beautiful. I just know that Don was smiling from heaven above!

So this year the girls are once again participating and I am excited to be a part of it as well.

I'll be bringing my camera, of course.  Gotta get some new pics of all the fun!
I love seeing the '69 Camaros and '70 Chevelles & Monte Carlos, too.  I've always wanted one of my own.  You never know... someday perhaps I will!  Candy Apple Blue?
